Permanent solid blocks
Draw blocks over private details, then download a new PNG with those areas replaced by black pixels.
Your original stays unchanged. Images are processed on your device. Review the complete image before sharing.
Select an image to get started.
Drag to cover private information
Drag with a mouse or finger. The preview is scaled to fit your screen; the download keeps the original pixel dimensions.
Add a block using pixel positions
Useful with a keyboard or for precise placement. X and Y are measured from the top-left corner of the image.
Review your exported image
Only share this exported PNG, not the original or an editable project. Zoom in to check that each block fully covers the private details.
Before sharing
Check every corner
Look for names, addresses, account details, browser tabs and notifications.
Cover the full detail
Add a little margin around each item. Leave no letters or numbers peeking out.
Review the download
Prepare the PNG, inspect it, and share only the exported copy.
Image-blocking questions
Can the covered text be recovered from the PNG?
The tool draws your image and replaces the selected pixels with opaque black, then creates a new PNG. It does not export an editable overlay or the original bytes under the blocks. Other visible details may still identify you, so check the full image.
Does it find private information automatically?
No. You select every block. The tool does not read text, detect faces or certify that an image is safe to share.
Why use solid blocks rather than blur?
Opaque blocks remove the covered pixels from the exported image. Blur and pixelation retain transformed visual information, so this tool uses solid blocks.
Can I edit a PDF or an animated image?
This tool accepts one still JPG, PNG or WebP. It does not redact PDFs, GIFs, animated images or documents with selectable text. Exports preserve image dimensions and may be larger than the original file.
